Spirited ("the app") is a route-planning app for iOS. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: your data stays on your device, and we don't collect it.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to our servers. Spirited has no user accounts and no analytics backend. The routes and waypoints you create are stored locally on your device.

Location data

With your permission, Spirited uses your device's location to show your position on the map and help you plan routes. This location data is used on your device only and is not sent to us or any third party. You can revoke location access at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Maps and routing

Spirited uses Apple's MapKit to display maps and calculate driving routes. Map and routing requests are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive this data.

Opening routes in other apps

When you choose to open a route in Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze, Spirited passes the route's coordinates to that app via a standard URL. Once a route is handed off, your use of that app is governed by that app's own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Spirited is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
